I have just done an upgrade to 17.10, but got a message that the upgrade had not been completed properly and I might have problems, it told me to run a command, but I was unable to do this.
On rebooting so far everything seems to work and it shows as 17.10. Should I carry on or is there anythibng I can do or should I do a fresh re-install.
I got something similar when I upgraded one laptop at work. After I rebooted I noticed there were lots of packages still to upgrade and install, so try running
sudo apt update
sudo apt full-upgrade
sudo apt autoremove
After doing that the laptop I was using seems to work OK.
Problems started coming so I decided to re-install… More work but more sensible.
Did a fresh install of 17.10 as Caja hanging and running slow also in 17.10. Any clues anyone…rather annoying!
