I'm currently running 19.10, and plan to stay on the interim releases.
From that perspective, would it be wiser to upgrade now to 20.04, or wait for the point release in Aug, keeping in mind that I will also later upgrade to 20.10?
The only goal is to minimize the risk of a failed upgrade.
Hi
Never since now I got issues upgrading with distro upgrade script, so no worries.
however, I like to do a clean install sometimes to clean up the mess i'm doing.
There are 2 good answers for your question
This time i done a fresh 20.04 install coming from 19.10 - I was to curious to wait.
Hi accron,
If your idea is to upgrade, jump from 19.10 to 20.04.01 is fine. Jump to 20.10 is more risky, personally in that case i'll reinstall. This is slowly, hard, but secure and clean, and much easy to locate issues, because you follow all installation process step by step.
Upgrade or reinstall? Eternal question.
