User-dirs.dirs issue in Ubuntu Mate 16.04 for RPi

Oddly, I recently discovered that my home folders were missing, except for Desktop, on my Raspberry Pi 3. After research I found that the entries were missing in the user-dirs.dirs file. I added back and ran xdg-user-dirs-update and receive this output:

/home/ed/Downloads was removed, reassigning DOWNLOAD to homedir
/home/ed/Templates was removed, reassigning TEMPLATES to homedir
/home/ed/Public was removed, reassigning PUBLICSHARE to homedir
/home/ed/Documents was removed, reassigning DOCUMENTS to homedir
/home/ed/Music was removed, reassigning MUSIC to homedir
/home/ed/Pictures was removed, reassigning PICTURES to homedir
/home/ed/Videos was removed, reassigning VIDEOS to homedir

When I examine the user-dirs.dirs file again the entries are removed, like so:

XDG_DESKTOP_DIR="$HOME/Desktop"
XDG_DOWNLOAD_DIR="$HOME/"
XDG_TEMPLATES_DIR="$HOME/"
XDG_PUBLICSHARE_DIR="$HOME/"
XDG_DOCUMENTS_DIR="$HOME/"
XDG_MUSIC_DIR="$HOME/"
XDG_PICTURES_DIR="$HOME/"
XDG_VIDEOS_DIR="$HOME/"

Anyone familiar with this problem and know how to fix it?

Never mind. I fixed my own issue with xdg-user-dirs-update --force
