Using it on an MK802II TV-stick

Hi there, I have an idea. I have an Allwinner A10-based unit, called the MK802II. I have a functional kernel, u-boot, and bootloader already installed on a microSD card. If I just DD the generic armhf rootfs to the existing rootfs partition of the card, what will happen? will it work? will it boot up?
thanks.

I use Cubian X1, which is based on Debian Wheezy)

I tried it, and it was only half success. It booted up to the first setup wizard, where I was able to set my keyboard and language, but it got stuck at “setting up hardware”, and I couldn’t skip that. somehow I got it to log in, but the wifi didn’t work, my USB ethernet didn’t work either, and even the android USB internet tethering didn’t work, and I couldn’t install the kernel headers for some reason. Maybe I will try getting a plug-and-play USB ethernet adapter and try this whole procedure again, but I don’t know yet, I still consider this as kinda-success for myself.

Have you looked on this forum?:

Of course I did. It just doesn’t contain any useful information for me. I rather look around Cubieboard forums, since the hardware is the same

Nevermind, I got it to work after a few days. I only had to remove the OEM config wizard. I just copied over the modules from another distro, and after some compiling, it worked.
