I just signed up and figured I’d share my two cents…
I’m a reasonably experienced Linux user, and have been using Debian Stable as my daily driver for the best part of a year. Recently, hearing a lot about Firefox development, I began considering switching to a more up-to-date distro, since Debian only provides Firefox ESR in the Stable repo. Ubuntu MATE had been under my radar for a while, so about two weeks ago I got around to setting up 17.04 on my main machine. I must say… WOW!!! 
Aside from being beautifully themed out of the box, my wifi card (one of the more awkward Broadcom ones that generally threw up a fuss with most distro’s I’ve tried, even Linux Mint 18.2 wouldn’t handle it properly) just worked.
I was planning to distro hop for a while 'till i found something that I could really live in, but I’m pretty sure I’ve found it here!
