I recently upgraded from mate 22.04 to 22.10 and webdav fails to connect to my local nextcloud. I installed 22.04 on another laptop and it worked fine did the same with ubuntu gnome where 22.10 failed and 22.04 worked so it appears to be the something in the webdav components. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I have submitted a bug for the issue - Bug #1995743 “webdav error trying to connect to nextcloud” : Bugs : gvfs package : Ubuntu

For those having the same problem: You can simply replace the URL to
open in order to make it work. Instead of
/remote.php/dav/files/$USERNAME you can use /remote.php/webdav/
