What is the package for gnome which is like the central login app for example google?

I need it for the Gnome Calendar to sync it with Google.

AFAIK you can add a Google account within Gnome Calendar itself, either from the “Calendars” option in the menu bar or from “Calendar Settings” from the middle button, the one next to the hamburger menu. They both lead to the same settings window where you can add accounts.

Edit: My bad, doesn’t seem to work without gnome-online-accounts which isn’t guaranteed to work on MATE.

I’m using Gnome calendar, not Google calendar. I want Gnome calendar to be able to sync
. And there’s a package which enables Google login to the Ubuntu ecosystem.

Is Gnome Calendar the same as “California”?

I installed California in the hopes of having a desktop app to look at my Google Calendar, but I had issues when I tried linking it to my Google Calendar account. It failed with the error message:
Unable to authenticate: The requested resource was not found: https://developers.google.com/accounts/docs/AuthForInstalledApps

I would love to find a lightweight calendar app to view Google Calendar without needed to open a browser. Been using gcalcli, but that is a little too light weight

It looks like Gnome Calendar, it1s surely a fork of it with a better name

Install the “gnome” package and after that Calendar can sync with the Google ecosystem.
