When package was installed

I would like to find out WHEN pm-utils was installed.

I looked thru PPM but could not find install date.

/var/log/apt/history.log keeps a log when apps where installed.
Grep for pm-utils or look at compressed history.log.*.gz

history.log can become large; logrotate compress them based on the config file /etc/logrotate.conf (which rotates most of the files in /var/log/ dir). man logrotate for details.
