Where are the customizations/appearance files

Hello,

Started doing backups via.... Backups. Currently with my 'core' folders, i.e. docs, pics, etc. For disk space I am not backing up everything.

If I wanted to save my desktop appearance such as panels, themes, launchers, etc. What folder/files should I be backing up to avoid customizing from scratch?

Best,

WWED

:+1: for doing backup. Most are located in /home/user_name/. On my system I backup all the .xxx files with a couple of exceptions. I don't backup the .gnupg and the .java. I use a script to do my backup but you can just select and drag to your backup. In my case the .gnupg fails to copy on certain formated backup drives along with .java and a particular file in my .local file. Before script used to copy all to a folder and remove the offending files and then copying it to my backup drives. In you case most of your requested settings are in the .config folder.

Thank you! After 1.5 years of moving from Windows I finally got things the way I like it, no more “just reinstall” for me.
