Why can't we have a tool like MathType in Windows?

Although Latex is good, but it’s not so easy if one has to handle hundreds of equations by typing the code. And even, some people use MathType in MSWord to do formula derivations. It’s very user-friendly and visible.

Why can’t we have a counterpart in Linux? The LibreOffice Math is really not a competitor …

Are KLatexFormula or EqualX options? I do not use them, but they are available.

To answer your question: yes, we can have counterparts in Linux :slight_smile:
