Why is App Grid not in the 17.04 software boutique?

Why is App Grid not in the 17.04 software boutique? IIRC it was in the 16.04 one.

I just tried it and it’s far more lightweight than the Gnome Software center.

Although it’s proprietary, it’s pretty good.

i for one support any decisions that make proprietary software less convenient than FOSS.

if nothing else it shows how lame the FOSS stuff generally is, which might motivate somebody to get off their butts.

Apparently, it seems the developer wasn’t fond of having it featured in the Software Boutique, so I guess that might be why.

I generally find that sudo apt install works well for almost 90% of what i install.

Same, but I like App Grid for ratings and discovering new software.

Install it manually then :slight_smile:

I did. I was just wondering why it was removed from the boutique, that’s all.
