Why Ubuntu Mate but not Xubuntu?

I love XFCE but it’s not getting many updates lately. Whereas MATE’s team is really active.

@GenZai point it in the right place.

Mate can be considered as a further development of XFCE, so is better, everything is fine tuned, better adjusted, and improved.

In XFCE some dialogs look like, someone just dropped some initial coding for them, and need further improvement, and that improvement does not come neither how much you wait.

xubuntu is for performance and lightness, mate is just a continuation from gnome2... try mint with cinnamon instead, its perfect!
