Wifi connection not recognized on OS installation window

OS: Ubuntu Mate 16.04 LTS
Platform: Raspberry Pi 2 Model B

Steps to reproduce:

On initial OS installation:

  1. Connect to wifi using the connection option on the upper right side of the window.

  2. Proceed on OS installation. On network connection step, it again ask to select and connect to available wifi connection although you are already connected on the internet.

This has happened to me too.
Just one of those oddities.
I think that if you restart when installation is complete then it comes up connected and usable (my memory isn’t completel reliable, especially when also chasing other oddities)
