Will there be a new Ubuntu MATE for Raspberry Pi 5?

I recently asked the project leader directly and got confirmation that it's unlikely we'll see a new Ubuntu MATE image. They do take a lot of work. The good news is that Ubuntu for Raspberry Pi is a first class release target while he was working for Canonical. The main website has been updated to reflect this.
