I buy this Mini PC probably in 2016 when it took my attention this mini PC, and after buying a netbook with same slow processor, that found is quite Ok for my usage. I use this mini PC at work as my personal PC along Work PC, because is small, does not take to much sapace in may desk, and is easy to carry home and back to work when needed.
I first install on it Ubuntu Mate 16.04 and it works OK
I then upgrade 16.04 to HWE kernel and xserver-xorg and first issue appear
- the mouse does not visually move until left edge of the screen, visually remain stuck couple of pixels away, but the issue is only the visual pointer, behind it it works as expected.
- This issue happens only if I connect only one monitor.
- After updating couple of times it get's fixed, and reverted back, but in later time the issue became permanently, not so big deal thinking only of this issue alone, but it looks like this will never be fixed.
- On Upgrade to Ubuntu Mate 18.04, I observe another mouse pointer stuck between two monitors, if I boot up with two monitor, neither this a big issue (as that extra mouse pointer is not easy to spot). If I boot up with one monitor, and connect after the second one, the second mouse pointer does not appear.
- On Ubuntu mate 19.10 it appear a really annoying mouse pointer trail, and some bad display underneath, if I boot with two monitors. If I connect the second monitor after, no issue. So booting with two monitors make this system impossible to use.
I also test Kubuntu 19.10 and issue is also there.
So it looks like things get worse over time, for this miniPC, if I use it with two monitors, even most of the time I don't. Probably I will have to fill somewhere a bug for this xserver-xorg issue, hoping that someone will take it and fix it.
There is also one thing that I don't understand, how that the netbook and MiniPC use same processor (same integrated GPU) and have different video issue (the netbook continue to have video tearing on 19.10, while Intel Nuc not) , even somehow I agree regarding they have different video output connection
