Youtube’s html5 videos don’t work any more and neither do mp4 files in my Firefox 41.0.2 after upgrading from 15.04 to 15.10.
This is my Firefox’s “about:config”:
Added:
media.mediasource.ignore_codecs true
Changed:
media.mediasource.enabled true
media.mediasource.mp4.enabled true
media.fragmented-mp4* true
except:
media.fragmented-mp4.use-blank-decoder false
Youtube.com/html5 page says now this about my configuration:
[ok] HTMLVideoElement
[ok] H.264
[ok] WebM VP8
[ok] Media Source Extensions
[ok] MSE & H.264
[ ] MSE & WebM VP9
This used to be enough to play html5 videos in Full HD in Ubuntu Mate 15.04, but now I get “An error occured”. Mp4 files in Firefox say “No video with supported format and MIME type found” or “Video can’t be played because the file is corrupt.” Any ideas what to do?
