Ho humm... Another typical day in corporate I.T. circles.

While outrageous, there's unfortunately nothing atypical in that document as far as I could see. Still, it's important to be reminded that the average company really doesn't care about the users' privacy; the company cares about its earnings, and about its customers only to the extent that it can keep its earnings up (by not losing significant numbers of customers, for example). That's practically the corporate saga.

That reminded me of privacy issues when Ubuntu incorporated Amazon Search, which was turned on by default in Ubuntu shipping some years ago.
