I am an old-age pensioner, who only knows the basics of computing. I disliked the Windows 8 and 10. So I have been using Linux for a few years. But I am a bit wary of the Terminal. So prefer 'user friendly' Linux distros. First I started with Mint and then I switched Linux Lite. But for the past year or so Linux light had changed to ugly flat icons that most distros seem to use today. I like the traditional look. So I never updated. Instead I kept the older version of Linux Lite. Then a few weeks ago my computer died. :frowning:
But, I now have a new Dell Computer, which I love. Instead of Linux Lite I installed Ubuntu MATE and am very happy with it. I like the choice of different desktops along with the classic icons. I hope that it never changes! Well done Ubuntu MATE!
