Mate 16.04 on acer v5 473p-5886

I do not know much about computers. Will I have any problems with instaling MATE on an Acer V5 473P-5886??

Hi Savvydude

Try it out live without installing it. There are reported problems that may or may not affect you. What kind of graphics do you have. I searched, but did not hit on your model.

I did a quick search of your graphics and it uses generic drivers already installed. At least thats the way I am reading it.

Again, try it out without installing.

And I know nothing about touchscreen capability. Someone else will have to answer that.

here is a link to Ubuntu forums which seems to indicate that its swings and roundabouts with Acer laptops as far as getting over the UEFI hurdle goes!:
