Yesterday I clean installed 16.04 Beta 2 on my desktop. All is going just fine with exception of Steam.
Firstly I get this error when I boot up...
It's the next day I get this when I try to start a game.
I'm not sure if they are related. It have swapped to the nvidia (propriety tested) I have also turned off Compiz and reverted to Marco.
Any assistance would be appreciated, Sunday night is gaming night and I would normally going online and playing with my old clan buddies.
Still trying to resolve this, So I would like to Steam completely and pull it from a different source, and this happens...
Looks like this is Ubuntu wide for those with the issue.
Steam released an update, any better?
Just checked and the same error message pops up. Also Source games (CS:GO and others) fails to load with a “glGetError”
On a side note about Steam, I was going to uninstall it and reinstall but when you uninstall it from the Boutique it uninstalls the launcher but not Steam it’s self. Leaving all of the games and Steam in place and still working with just the launcher uninstalled.
Update, The odd error message when you start Steam is still present. However the error that was preventing Source games from running appears to be resolved.
