Hi,

A “tty” is a ‘TeleTYpe’ or printing terminal, but also a pseudo-device used to display text in a similar way on a computer screen: A so-called ‘glass’ teletype or probably LCD now :slight_smile:

The main point is that it’s a text-only display.
