Downloaded 18.04.1 and burned a DVD from the iso. Took a look and tried without installing. Within 5 minutes, I get an error. Doesn’t really instill confidence in installing on my machine. I want to upgrade from 16.04 because that’s been nothing but problems. Specifically, not opening windows on TOP of currently open windows, and not being able to close programs out. They just freeze and I have to go into System Monitor and kill it. Seems that Mate has gone downhill in the last few upgrades.
Sorry for the rant, but the distro I’ve used for 4 years (starting with 14.04) is no longer a viable product.
