I searched the forum but found no answers. I only have 1 USB reader in my laptop, so I don't know what the other is doing but it is showing the same connection. I'm on Mate 19.10
Did you disconnect and/or reboot ? I had the same problem after my VPN configuration. Two wifi icons. And the next boot; there was only one icon.
