That’s alright then mate. If there is anything else you want to know about Rosegarden, midi keyboards and all the rest let me know and I’ll help out if i can UB. Though, given you are running your own radio station, my guess is there is far more you can teach me than the other way around!

I know a little about Jack and connecting apps but that is it.
I know how to hook my keyboard up to control Hydrogen drum and even got to do some with QSynth. But thats it when it comes to midi. :smile:

Just an update. I have found, recently, the best way for me to have Ubuntu Studio with the Ubuntu Mate desktop is to do the following:

  1. install Ubuntu Studio as a fresh OS install
  2. Install Ubuntu Mate desktop over the top
  3. remove XFCE desktop (which is what Ubuntu Studio comes with)
  4. a few other final tidying up tasks that are too fiddly to go into here. But, they are not a big deal

Been running since 18.04. All going well
