A second network ICON has appeared in the notifcation area

It appeared a few days ago and now seems pemanent on a start or restart.
It is a replica of the normal network icon but in appearance slightly thicker/bigger
Is it a known bug?
How do I get Rid of it?

Hello, I've seen this problem mentioned regarding Ubuntu Mate 18.04, but not about the newest version. It started happening to me when I updated to 19.04, didn't give it much thought because I intended to jump directly to 20.04. But the problem persists.
