I’ve just installed Ubuntu MATE 15.04b2 on my Acer C710 Chromebook. I’m blown away so far. Chome OS was stripped down to almost useless, Mate is gorgeous and powerful.
The trackpad on the Acer C710 is a known problem and it was enabled in Lubuntu 14:10 with this addition to /etc/modules:
loop
lp
rtc
i2c-i801
i2c-dev
chromeos-laptop
cyapa
On MATE it does not do the trick and I don’t know how to translate it into “MATE” or where to start the trouble shooting. Can somebody please point me in the right direction?
