I think shimmer-project themes should be addeed by default due to the good integration with mate, the better integration with Gnome’s CSD and the more modern looking.
It’s just an idea. I think mate will look great with Greybird, Orion and Numix.
If someone want to try just type in the terminal sudo apt-get install shimmer-themes
