Do I need Trim technology enable.
I use Ubuntu Mate SDD 120 GB RAM 12 GB with Swap memory 2 GB.
To View fstrim.timer configuration you can run
systemctl cat fstrim.timer
generally on Ubuntu Trim is active by default and runs weekly
To view fstrim.service configuration: you can run
systemctl cat fstrim.service
Hello WELCOMEyousuf
You may find this explanation helps you to understand what "trim" does:

Note:
In the past a general rule with Linux was that your SWAP size should be the same as your RAM size. You may have problems with the function "suspend" if they do not match, as the current session is written to the SWAP partition when you use "suspend".
Please see this about suspend -
What @alpinejohn is talking about more closely resembles hibernate.
Hello mdooley
I thought so too, but:
I do not seem to have a "hibernate" option. I thought "suspend" on Ubuntu-Mate was the same as "hibernate" on windoze OS.
I have to admit that I have never used hibernate or suspend in my entire three and a half decades of using computers. Nor do I intend to. That makes me a very definite "not-an-expert". However, I thought it was worth pointing out this old rule-of-thumb.
Yeah, the old rule of thumb is pretty accurate as far as it goes - I've always used it until the amount of RAM I had became enormous. I think that in these days, one has to enable hibernate in some non-obvious way - it doesn't appear as an option automatically. I use suspend on this old laptop every evening (when lid is closed, the laptop suspends) and it apparently works. Thanks for your reply @alpinejohn
What are the problem using suspend function?
Hello WELCOMEyousuf
I do much of my computing in a managed enterprise environment. In my experience those who use suspend or hibernate often have network-disconnect problems, which lead them to reboot their machines. But this does not happen every time to everyone. So I avoid the uncertainty and never use suspend or hibernate.
How is the Blank Screen option?
I mean if I will use blank screen option then impact?
Hello WELCOMEyousuf
I am not sure that I understand your question. Are you reffering to the screen lock? If so, this does not alter the running system (as far as I know) - it continues to run.
