ALARM: "You should walk" every hour

How do I set an alarm every hour, to remind me to walk 5mins ?

Have you tried Workrave? It's in the software boutique. I use it to remind me to stop every hour and a quarter.

I have someone called "wife" that has been doing just that for the last 25 years.
But I also simply put a repeating reminder on my smart phone - more reliable.
Don't see the point having it on the computer.
Each their own way.

Psst! Can you keep a secret? (Just kidding.)

This trick harkens back to the middle of the GNOME days. Go to the panel menu System -> Preferences -> Hardware -> Keyboard. In the dialog which pops up, go to the tab "Typing Break". Under that, check the box "Lock screen to enforce typing break", and adjust the lower two values to your tastes.

Just because she's under the desk does not necessarily mean that you should stop doing what you are doing

Unfortunately until there is a 'proper' linux smartphone, I will not use a phone. OTG, going OTG

Thanks gordon :upside_down_face:
