I could not find out how to configure cheese.

Looking for an alternative to cheese other than guvcview
webcamoid.

There’s Camorama. But what is it you would like to configure?

Whenever I open Cheese it starts taking pictures and does not stop.

I just found out that if I run it as root, it does not do that.

Camorama is an excellent program.
