AMDGPU-PRO install - no clue - no change?

Just installed the newest AMDDGPU-PRO driver from http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMDGPU-PRO-Driver-for-Linux-Release-Notes.aspx for my RX480 and followed step-by-step orders, including installing Vulkan SDK.

I'm a bit confused after restart. Can't see any differences, there is no GUI or any line in additional drivers. Can't even see any differences. Some Steam games run as before, some that didn't aren't working anyhow.

Checked install:

$ dpkg -l amdgpu-pro
Gewünscht=Unbekannt/Installieren/R=Entfernen/P=Vollständig Löschen/Halten
| Status=Nicht/Installiert/Config/U=Entpackt/halb konFiguriert/
Halb installiert/Trigger erWartet/Trigger anhängig

Terminal just disappeared while installing, no error notice, nothing.

There is no GUI for AMDGPU-PRO at the moment and you won’t see anything under additional drivers either. I also have a 480 and I tried PRO out for a while and found it pretty underwhelming to be honest. When I installed UM 17.04 I just stayed with the open source drivers and added Vulkan through synaptic. Until AMD straightens out their driver situation, those of us with their graphics cards are in a bit of limbo. Ultimately I’d recommend staying on the regular AMDGPU driver.
