I have something similar, system monitoring center
I think it depends on what you are using it for... If I managed a network I am sure I would want something more robust, but for my laptop I just use Stacer. I need to know if my CPU usage is high and it tracks the history as well.
Of course it has things like processes, startup apps, etc... but it is simple and clean and works for me.
I use htop daily in remote terminals (no gui). Still, a good tool.
htop is not "pretty" to look at!
I have never used that software nor have heard about it before. And I am afraid that the only real way to evaluate its quality, functionality, usefulness and practicality is to give it a try.
My needs in monitoring my UM installation are fully satisfied with Mate System Monitor
, *top
and some extra cli tools. To tell the truth, I virtually never really need to monitor something or dive into forensics of my system's performance.
I can only say "well played"!
