I know I can with XnView and Digikam, but in Eye of Mate I only get a thumbnail version when I open a RAW file. Is there a setting or something I need to do to view it full size?
You may want to try Eye of GNOME, it may just be that Eye of MATE is aging.
sudo apt install eog
Seems that Eye of GNOME does the same:
Shame that they dont support RAW files. The properties menu with the metadata info made me think it did.
This seems to be a larger issue. Would you mind filing this https://github.com/mate-desktop/eom
I don't have a github account, so it might be a bit until I can ask my friend to report it for me. Or if one have an account, feel free to use my screenshots.
Anyway, I tried another RAW files(doggy one is .NEF), and it seems that it works on Cannon CR2 files:
dng files are small like NEF, and others like ARW, RAF, RW2 files dont open
I'll report it for you! It'll be linked here when it's filed
Thanks for the help friend.
If you need any more info dont hesitate to ask. Oh yeah, the photo resolution is 4320x2868 and in eye of mate it shows as 160x120. The caja image on the Properties tab also says its a tiff file:
Yeah cr2 files worked for me too on the little bird pic I posted a couple of post up with some other file types I tried.
