Anyone noticed the "f" changing sizes in search bar?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to put it but did anyone else notice how when typing in a search bar such as

Google Search Bar, Firefox Search Bar, Finder Bar (Ctrl+f), or even the search icon on this website

every other “f” will be very slightly smaller/shorter than the other f’s starting from the first one, and then if you type another “f” in front of it it will become “normal sized” until the next odd “f”? I’m not sure if it’s just because of my computer specifications though lol. I couldn’t find anywhere tht talks abt it so just thought I would put it out there

ff f f f fffff

Hi, @UnFoxed and welcome to the Ubuntu MATE Community!

I just tried that on my desktop, and all of my lowercase effs are the same height. But I am using Brave browser, from a PPA.

My system fonts (Preferences > Appearance > Fonts) are Ubuntu Regular, Ubuntu Medium, and Ubuntu Mono Regular).

Perhaps you are using a snap install of Firefox? It's possible a snap is using its own fonts rather than your default system font(s).
