Anyplace to find free Linux games?

According to Synaptic there are something like under 10 games. Is there something like galaxians or pacman that works directly without using MAME?

There are lot's of available games.

The Software Boutique has a nice variety of available games.

In addition here are some other sources based on snapd and flatpak:

Snapstore games

Flathub games

Pacman clone and Galaxian clones

I wish jGalaxian was full screen, but Thanks! Were did you find these, I couldn't find them on google. Shouldn't they be included on Synaptic?

I used a web search.

There are a lot of games out there.

Synaptic does not show snaps or flatpaks.

GNOME Software which is available in the Software Boutique is another option for searching for games and software.

Thasnks, reliving my youth for a while!

GamingOnLinux is a blog site all about Linux gaming. They have a section that lists free (both open and closed source) games too.

There are games in the wild that may not be packaged up, so do take care when surfing the net for free games. For example, Barkour was mentioned in an article earlier this month, which is available for free as a zip download.
