My laptop’s touchpad stops working after a few minutes when booting using the 4.15.0-24-generic kernel. I’m using an Asus X54NV laptop on Ubuntu MATE 18.04.
I have to revert to 4.15.0-23 to get to the login screen, so you get further than I can.

I have the same problem as jnh, running on a ThinkPad X230. What is is launchpad?
Launchpad is a platform where you can submit bugs so that the dev will know about them and fix them. The forum is not a bug report platform so it will not go to the right ppl/dev.
