Automatic startup without needing password?

Hi. When I start up, my computer pauses during the process and asks for a password. Is there a way to avoid this?

Theoretically this should work:

  1. Make sure you have only 1 useraccount on this computer
  2. enable "no password on login" (see example)

It should now boot to your desktop in one go without asking username or password.

Initially, I didn't have Users and Groups. I installed gnome-icon-theme and it appeared.

sudo apt install gnome-system-tools

if you search this forum for "users and groups not found" you will see that a pkg was missed in the release
