Avoiding wearing out microSD flash cards

Are there any plans for the next release of UbuntuMATE to avoid wearing out microSD cards from log files and other temporary data files being constantly written on the SD card and move some to a RAM area?

As described with the concept of “folder2ram” parts of the OS folders can be moved to RAM (tmpfs) and then sync back later to the flash drive…

This tool seems to be working fine in another project context and is tested to be compatible with “systemd” that UbuntuMATE is also using.

Old thread, but still interested. I am using Ubuntu Mate on an USB stick for having my OS always with me
