Blank window - software boutique

Hello,

I have just realized that when I invoke the software-boutique a window is rendered that is blank with just a frame and the title bar at the top. (This is new behavior.) The snap for the boutique is up to date as is the rest of my system. Am using the "Marco (built-in: Xpresent)" window manager, and I have tried the other options as well with no change in the boutique window presentation.

I wonder if someone here can suggest a fix for this behavior?

Not a fix as such.
But read this, it might be related:

This doesn't seem to be caused by Snaps or the Ubuntu MATE Welcome application in particular. It seems to be caused by a buggy version of one of the Ubuntu MATE Welcome application's dependencies -- WebKit-GTK. Specifically, it appears to be related to this: To summarize, the bad news is that it looks like it's not going to get fixed in 23.04; it's too late in 23.04's lifetime to release a fix. The Webkit-GTK issue is indeed very suspicious. It would explain the behavior of another app: foccalboard-app, which exhibits the same problem.
