Bluetooth Keyboard not recognized on recovery mode

I installed ubuntuMATE 16.04 Beta1 on my Acer Predator G5900 64bit Tower.
I rebooted the system (after updating the System) in recovery mode.
It didn’t recognize my Logitech K330 keyboard. I used an old dELL keyboard and that functioned perfectly.
Once I completed the reboot, the Wireless board functioned fine.

Par for the course I’m afraid, many (if not all) Bluetooth and some USB (mostly wireless) keyboards don’t get picked up by the system in recovery mode. There might be a way to load them via a “root” command in recovery mode but I just don’t know?.

Edit:

I had a look around on the web and cannot find any solution!. :frowning: Maybe someone else knows different?.

Hi fatherjack,

im fresh out of the windows world.
But there is also an Recovery Mode… the features of the recovery mode are just to load the most necessary parts of the system(no bluetooth keyboard on this list) and cut as much connections as possible(in case of virus infection or something else I expect).
I think the recovery mode of linux is nearly the same.
So I can’t tell you if the Bluetooth driver is not loaded or the Bluetooth Connection is cut on purpose by the system but I’m sure it should be this way.

For example:
you make some configuration mistakes in a driver config and the system wont boot because loading the driver fails (happened me yesterday) you boot in recovery mode fix the problem and then operate the system normally again.

But here is a Question for you, because i don’t get this thread, did you just want to share your experience or do wnat to find out how to get it working or why it didn’t work ?

Hope you don’t get me wrong

Best Regards
