Bootable 32-bit Ubuntu image

Hello,

Trying to create bootable USB with 32bit Ubuntu (using Rufus tool), I get the following message:

The 32-bit image I've downloaded from here:
https://www.ubuntu.com/download/alternative-downloads

BTW, with the 64-bit images bootable USB is created successfully ... but USB isn't seen in my 32-bit notebook
Where is a problem ?

Thanks in advance.

could you give us the machine details. make model etc?

If this this a 32 bit machine with uefi it will take some special things to get it to boot.
if it is not uefi - the 32 bit iso should work fine.

Thanks. I’ve changed “Partition scheme and target system type” settings to “MBR partition scheme for BIOS or UEFI computers” and then could create bootable USB.
Then after boot with this USB, I launched installation and this installation failed.
The probable reason - corrupted HDD on the target PC.
Initially this PC run Windows 7 and HDD was split in 2 disks: System and Data.
Some days ago this PC fell down and “System” disk became corrupted - Windows 7 couldn’t boot.
I recovered personal data from “Data” disk using a risque USB with some old version of Windows.
During Ubuntu installation I specified something like “erase data & format HDD”, hoping that during this all corrupted cluster will be marked.
But apparently it wasn’t the case … and some additional operation is need to prepare this PC for Ubuntu installation.
Which one ?

Thanks once more

Hi again Pavel_47
We still need to know if this is a 32 bit machine or 64 bit machine. I’m a bit confused about that from your post.
Give us the details about the machine.

If it’s 32 bit then

It’s 32 bit machine.

Ok here’s a YouTube video that will show you how to do it.
