Thanks. I’ve changed “Partition scheme and target system type” settings to “MBR partition scheme for BIOS or UEFI computers” and then could create bootable USB.
Then after boot with this USB, I launched installation and this installation failed.
The probable reason - corrupted HDD on the target PC.
Initially this PC run Windows 7 and HDD was split in 2 disks: System and Data.
Some days ago this PC fell down and “System” disk became corrupted - Windows 7 couldn’t boot.
I recovered personal data from “Data” disk using a risque USB with some old version of Windows.
During Ubuntu installation I specified something like “erase data & format HDD”, hoping that during this all corrupted cluster will be marked.
But apparently it wasn’t the case … and some additional operation is need to prepare this PC for Ubuntu installation.
Which one ?

We still need to know if this is a 32 bit machine or 64 bit machine. I’m a bit confused about that from your post.
Give us the details about the machine.
