Brightness Buttons Do Not Work on Laptop

Hi,

The brightness controls on my laptop do not work. You press fn and then F9 or F10 to lower or raise the brightness. It did not work with the Nouveau driver and doses not work with nvidia 304.128.

I have not had this problem with my dell, but looking around I found this.
