I would like to see live wallpaper added to Mate.
I see that there is a ppa for live wallpaper, but I do not like to add ppa’s so much for security reasons.
I am not sure why this is not standard across ubuntu since it is fun and popular for android.
Yes, I read that article before I posted this request. As I said before, I do not like to add repos. The thing about Mate that makes it better is that it includes this stuff (like Synapse) and a bandwidth meter for “free”. I’d like to see it added.
BTW… This is the most incredible forum software I have ever used.

Would anybody happen to know of a program that would add a “Desktop” window over the desktop itself? Just a bare-bones program to show desktop icons, for people who like to have them with their animated wallpaper video or screensaver of choice on top…
