Candidate for Import - Mint Tool - ISO Verification - GUI-driven

I would like to point out that I came accros the following reference to a Mint utility tool for which I don't see a direct MATE equivalent.

I know I can do, and have done, things using the command line, but Windows "immigrants" might feel the need for something more GUI-fied.

Does this look good enough for possible import before the 26.04 LTS RC? Or is it too far past the point to start the process?

We're still early in the process, so resolute seeds can ~easily be changed (by a developer), but packages in the Ubuntu repository need to exist.

Did Linux Mint push it upstream to [Ubuntu or] Debian sid? as if it's something they use on their own ISO, and thus didn't push upstream, it won't exist in Ubuntu repositories.

As an FYI, I also submitted this on the Mate Desktop GitHub site:

WOW! Thank you, Chris, for that "behind the curtains" peek at the way our UM Architects keep the Flavour's "horizon" in clear view for both coordination and communication!

Keep up the good work!

What about GTK Hash?

Thank you, Eugene.

I had seen that ... but as a tool that a Windows "Immigrant" would be looking for, and provide the kind of "feel good" feedback to give such a new User confidence that he did the right thing and that the verified file is good, I truly feel that it falls short of the likely expectation, and that a clone of that Mint tool would be more conducive and better received.

At least, that how I feel about it!

I don’t remember when and how i got it
but there is an ISO installer named “PopSicle” (it may show as “USB Flasher” once installed)
It has its own Hash tool easy to use

Can be used with any flavor.

Thank you, @Watford, for putting that option out there.

I may use that for "burning" USB sticks, but the feedback from the check seems to fall short of what I would personally expect (which is closer to what that Mint tool offers).

However, even the Mint tool falls a bit short in terms of what I would expect it to do, which would be to "coordinate" the process of capturing the necessary "Signature Keys" that might be required to validate the authenticity of the download as well.
