Cannot adjust screen brightness at login / lock screen

At the login screen, and at the lock screen, I cannot change screen brightness or keyboard back light brightness with the specialized keys on keyboard (I'm on laptop, specifically, a Mac Book Air). Sometimes I turn screen brightness all the way down and leave it. When I come back, screen is locked and completely black and I cannot do anything to have it light on. (So I had to type in unlock password blindly but sometimes I accidentally moved the cursor away from password input and then get stuck and had to do a hard reset).

So I'm asking if anyone knows how to enable adjusting screen brightness / keyboard backlight when at login / lock screen?

I noticed this issue since UM 19.10 (but it may happen even earlier) and until now (20.04).

Hi Trong,

do you have sleep or hibernate active?, if you just want to keep people off of your laptop, just log out and don't use sleep or hibernate!.

I have no idea about MAC's so don't really have any other suggestions for you!. :thinking:
