Hello everyone, I recently installed ubuntu 24.04 LTS. After a couple of days I couldn't log myself in anymore, and when restarting my computer I get stuck while booting onto ubuntu. After doing the basic repair I got the message:
"Locked-NVram detected. Please do not forget to make your UEFI firmware boot on the Ubuntu 24.04 LTS entry."
However, this is already the case.
Here is my full log: Ubuntu Pastebin
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Victor
try doing a fresh install. when the system firsts boots press e to edit the install line. Look for the line that ends --quite splash and back space that out then type noacpi where the quite splash line was.
f10 to boot and it should be good to go. I have had major problems with acpi in 24.04 but have found this sorts it out on many machines I have had to do install on, Once you have done the install and removed the install media it should be good to go. Only once have I had to boot into recoverymode and from the menu choose reinstall grub and that has bought the system right Cheers da kiwi
