Cannot find installed software

I recently installed Mate 18.04 on my Toshiba Sat L855 series laptop: i5 processor, 16gb RAM, and a 500gb SSD.
I downloaded and supposedly installed, via the GDebi package installer, an application called openboardview from the website openboardview.org. The download is for debian. Once installed, I cannot find it anywhere on the computer! Any ideas?
I really want this program to work.

Hi @byzmate, I'm a EE so it got my curiosity. This is a very basic install with no desktop support at all. The fastest way to run it is from commandline:

openboardview

The executable file (/usr/bin/openboardview) is the one and only installed file.

You can make your own launcher on a menu, panel or the desktop like this:

But I haven't looked at creating menu items in a while.

HTH

EDIT: Someone complained about the package but I see no sign of this "fix" included in the deb file:

Thank you! Now I just need to get some schematics to look at and see if I like this package…
I did not download the Fedora (RedHat) download, but rather the one for debian
