Hi everybody,
I installed Ubuntu MATE 16.04 and I’m having a problem when trying to download attachments on Gmail. I just installed the ISO and used the Quidsup Flassless Extras. That’s it. Apart from that, I just installed Clementine and Google Chrome. All the other software was preinstalled.
I don’t really know what went wrong, but when I click on the files I want to download on Gmail, it just doesn’t let me do it.
Hope someone can help me with this.
Thanks in advance.
Have you tried clearing Chrome’s cache and temporary files yet? You might also try disabling any extensions you have installed in Chrome. Other than not using the Quidsup Flassless Extras I followed the same track installing 16.04 and have not ran into this problem…yet.

I’m using Inbox online to read Gmail (and doing any of possible commands flawlessly):

Try it with your Gmail account. let me know.
Hi @Michael_Gentry,
Thanks for helping me out. I had the problem both in Firefox and Google Chrome.
To check if an extension was causing the problem, I ran Firefox, my main browser, in safe mode (firefox --safe-mode
). Gmail worked perfectly that way. I exited safe mode and disabled the Ubuntu Modifications. I restarted my browser. That was it. I don’t know what happened, but after doing that, Gmail worked perfectly in both Firefox and Chrome.
Thanks to you all for your help.
