Can't get Auto-login to work on Ubuntu Mate 19.10

I've tried checking the box "don't ask for password on login"

I've tried editing this file /usr/share/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d:

[Seat:*]
greeter-session=slick-greeter
autologin-user=opac-kiosk -I added this line

Any ideas? Seems all the instructions I've found are for 18.04 and earlier.

I've gotten the default session set to use my "Kiosk Mode", but it still doesn't log in automatically

I would remove the line you added before doing what I suggest. Use the Login Window instead.

Control Center, Login Window, , Users tab, enter your username in the Automatic login section and reboot to have it take effect.
