In the old versions of Mate, I had to use .bash_profile to auto-start some apps, qasmixer being one of them. Having upgraded to the latest Mate, I no longer have a need for it to run all the time. So I commented it out of .bash_profile, exited the app, and unchecked and deleted it from startup applications. After restarting Mate, it still came back. Are there any other facilities in Mate that cause applications to auto-start, or should I look elsewhere in the OS?
